Christmas 2014

We were at Walmart and Aiden found Santa. He was so excited.

 In line waiting to see Santa at our ward Christmas Breakfast. I asked Aiden what he was going to ask Santa for Christmas and he told me a Christmas tree and snow.

Jade didn't make it through the line and crashed by the time it was her turn.

My Grandma Chalk sent us Gingerbread house kits. Aiden had fun helping decorate and eating way too much candy. He thought he would be sneaky and eat as much as he could.

My visiting teacher, Datha who happens to be my RS president also, her and her husband did the 12 Days of Christmas for us. Saturday night we got a knock on the door. They said they would normally knock and run but they are getting to old to do that so they just handed us the first day. I took pic of each gift and the paper that came with it.

I love the sable. I was just talking to Datha Saturday morning at the ward Christmas party asking her if she wouldn't mind bringing a nativity, Sunday for RS to sit on the table for my lesson because I didn't have one. I love that they decided to do a nativity for us. Such a yummy chocolate orange.

 Aiden and Jade really liked the magical snow balls that glow when you throw them. Jade was really cute and learned to throw.

 These little foam balls where just as much of a hit at our house as the snow balls were.  Both kids like throwing them and playing with them.

 Aiden was so excited to eat one and kept asking for one.

It was so sweet of Datha and her husband to think of us. I am very grateful to them and what a fun way to remember Christ. Now every year as Christmas comes around & I decorate the house, I will always remember how we got this cute little nativity and the generosity of the givers.

 I decided to put the kids in their Christmas outfits early and snap some pic of them. They both actually had been sick with the flu and so I took advantage of them feeling better to take some pic of them on a less busy day where there was no rush. I love this one of Jade.

Jade 10 months old

Jade is 10 months! 

She wouldn't stay sitting for her pics and decided to stand up... then walk to me... Notice almost all of her pics she is eating the elephant...

She had a 9 month Dr. visit on the 5th of December which was more like a 9-1/2 month visit.

Weight: 22 lbs @ 90 percentile 

Height: 29-1/2" @ 95 percentile. I actually think she is more like 28" cause I measured her the same why at home but oh well.

Head: 50 percentile

She didn't care for the Dr. one bit and didn't like him touching her. She sat on Jerel's lap as the Dr. checked her out. She complained and cried until he was done. She is doing well and is healthy. The Dr. was impressed that she is starting to walk and says she has big feet... After he finished evaluating Jade and asking questions, he said she is at the same abilities as that of a 1 year old. She is very smart he says. She got her first flu shot which really hurt her feelings after being scared by the mean Dr. He was really nice to her but she just didn't like him.

Size diapers: 4

Size clothes: Mostly 9 months but 12 months is good too, cause I can always roll the pants and sleeves. 

Teeth: 8

Food: I tried giving her some ground up spaghetti but she wouldn't have it. She does like pieces of bread. She still eats pretty much the same things, gerber meats with veggies and oatmeal with formula & a fruit mixed in. She loves broccoli for some reason and likes when i grind up banana and peaches.

Favorite things she does: She gets so excited when Jerel gets home from work. She is such a happy baby when ever she wakes even if it was only a cat nap. I love that she is tickleish and the cute little laugh she has. She loves to walk back and for between Jerel and I. Its a game.

She still shakes her head and snuffs her nose. She will crawl around the house snuffing her nose just because.

 Jade can stand now for a few mins balancing specially if she is distracted. This was one of the first times she stood for more than 20 seconds without falling or sitting down. She will let go of what ever she used to stand up and will just stand there. She has also started to take a few steps away and then sits down if she doesn't have anyone to walk to. She will also walk from on thing to the other if they aren't far apart.

I am in love with that little giggle of hers.

 Practice, practice, practice. 

Its easier without all her clothes and plus i love her little baby rolls and bare tummy. Naked babies are so cute.

 She is starting gain more confidence and will walk further and further by herself every day. I have been practicing with her and walking her around just holding one of her hands. She gets really upset when let go or sit her down. She would walk for hours if I let her. Its a good things she has her motorcycle to walk around holding. If I am too close to her though she will cheat and dive. I love to look she gets on her face when she knows she is being big. Sometimes she will walk a few steps, stop and balance for a few secs then continues on.

 No matter how hard I try to keep her out of the bathrooms she always find a way...

 I try to only put her in her jumper when I am working out or while I am in the shower. She falls asleep a lot while I work out.

She was really tired one day when Daddy got home from work. She wouldn't take a nap with Aiden earlier. I guess Jerels voice was really soothing. So cute. Reminds me of the video we have of Aiden playing at Bear Lake.

Hi!

So tired. She loves to sleep with soft stuffed animal friends. We actually started laying the blue blanket that is on her in this pic down in her crib. She seems to really like it.

 This was taken the day my Grandpa Page passed. We sent it to cheer up Grandma Achatz from far away. We will sure miss him.

 She really likes to watch the Leapfrog shows and Color crew. See what I mean about standing a long time while distracted.

She is getting really good. She will walk really good while holding things in her hands.

Jade really likes the Christmas tress and the pretty lights. I guess she wanted to see if the candy cane tasted good.

I gave her toast and she really liked it!

She put a jumbo lego in her mouth like a binky and kept in in there. Silly!

So either Jade has big feet or Aiden has small feet and Jade has normal sized feet. :)
