32 Weeks

Baby is now 32 WEEKS! Our next Dr. Appt is this Tuesday! Kinda nice to have them every 2 weeks, helps to have something  to look forward to.  This coming week is my last week of work, with my last day being Feb 24^th! Boy is it going to be a long week! How have I been feeling? I think the morning sickness is back. Not as bad as it was compared to the first Trimester. I get a little nauseated here and there and the heartburn is for sure getting worse. My back hasn’t been horrible lately but annoying ligament pain has replaced that. I am way more tired now days even when I’m in bed by 9:30pm. How is the baby? He amazingly still has enough room to move around like crazy but his kicks starting to be not as strong. He likes to stretch out a lot which feels kinda weird. He gets the hickups a lot too. Valentines Day was fun. Jerel and I went to Chilies which happens to be the same place we ate last year and was the last time we went there.  We got desert to go and eat it while watching the movie RED which was my valentine to Jerel.  After I had given him the movie he told me that I needed to go take a quick nap while he ran to the store.  I told him that it was fine that he forgot and that he wasn’t going to go. He insisted I go lay down, so I do. He comes in a few mins later frowning at me and said: “Your not very good at taking naps! Fluff your pillow!” He had put some cad-berry eggs and pistachios under my pillow. Love that our gifts to each other were not traditional flowers and chocolate.

31 WEEKS

31 WEEKS! Our baby is about the size of a PINEAPPLE! I find it humorous to list what fruit he is in comparison to cause list week he was a cucumber and now a pineapple... That is kinda a big difference in size. Anyway... This week was our 31st week app with Dr. Firth. My tummy measured 31! Baby's Heartbeat sounds great! Kinda cool that my measurements coordinate with the week I am. I weight in at about 145. Changes this week: I have noticed I have have kinda had a loss of appetite, not sure what the reason behind it is. A few weeks ago I was eating portions close to Jerel's and I found myself completely able to go back for another plate if I wanted. I have had a cold this week which is so kindly shared with Jerel! :( He very rarely if ever gets sick from me. This time he got it bad. I had a sore throat on Sunday and sinus headaches but thats it, I have had a stuffy nose ever since. Jerel on the other hand has had a  bad sore throat since Tuesday, a sinus headache and stuffy nose as well as a cough. We went into Instacare today to make sure he didn't have strep. We think he has a sinus infection so he is on antibiotics which seem to be helping. I just feel bad cause I gave a much worse cold to him then I even had to begin with. On a better note, I also had my 1st baby shower, thrown by the girls from work! It was fun to just talk. I actually got a lot of stuff which will help out a lot!

Closer look at my 2nd ever rag blanket. Did it all by myself. I told my mom that I had finished it and she was shocked! Didn't even know I had it all cut out yet.

30 Weeks!

Baby is 30 WEEKS! And the length of a CUCUMBER! Baby is kicking and moving constantly which according to my baby center app on my phone means he is healthy Jerel likes to play with the baby, he taps on my belly and the baby kicks his hand. Pretty cute! We went to dinner with some of my coworkers and one of my coworkers said that Jerel seemed pretty excited for the baby. I told Jerel that and his reply was: "Na, I just like rubbing your big tummy." Right! He is! This last week we found out that baby Nielsen will be getting twin boy Nielsen cousins and 1 boy McBride cousin! Kristi (Jerel's brother Brooks wife) is about 8-9 weeks behind me with twins and Alisha (my sister) is almost 10 weeks behind me. Our baby will have close cousins for each side. I have a Dr. appt on Tuesday which kicks off my every two weeks visits. How have I been feeling? Constant back aches, Braxton Hicks, and just pregnancy aches and pains. My feet swell if I have been on them too long. And long car rides are back killers. I also feel Big! None of my clothes fit and shopping for a prego skirt is a joke! I find myself pulling things that would normally fit me and thinking "this should fit! Right?" then when I try it on it either doesn't zip up or just doesn't go on at all. Note to self: DON'T GO CLOTHES SHOPPING WHILE PREGNANT! I finally found one that hopefully will last me  the rest of my pregnancy. Natalie, my sister was nice and brought me all of her prego clothes to borrow. Nice to wear something that isn't skin tight. Also something to look forward to this week, the girls from work are throwing me a baby shower this Saturday which I am pretty excited for.

29 Weeks

Baby is 29 WEEKS! He is about the size of a ACORN SQUASH which is about 15.2-16.7 inches, 2.5-3.8 lb. This weeks Dr appt went well, my tummy is measuring about 27", 150 lbs and he is positioned head down! I think its starting to get a little cramped in there. I know it is out here for me. I am getting stretching pains and it feels like he is always pushing out which makes my tummy really tender and sore to the touch. I have been craving cold sweets so I have been eating fruit smoothies. Yep its cold out side and I'm eating cold thing inside. Kinda funny, today I went and got a Zeppe's Italian Ice and its freezing outside.

28 Weeks

Baby is 28 WEEKS and is now into the 3^RD TRIMESTER!!! Last and final trimester! The name we have chosen for him has still stuck.  We will see if he looks like an Aiden Jerel Nielsen when we see him. We wanted an uncommon first name since Nielsen is so common. This is the name we picked when we found out we were having a boy. I think our little guy likes showers! When I’m in the shower he almost always wakes up and pushes his little body out which totally distorts my tummy. He must like the warm water. Every once in a while during the day, he will push what I think is a foot out which looks and feels funny. This coming week is my last monthly Dr. appt then it will be every two week checkups. Still no stretch marks yet. I try to keep  lotion on my tummy so I am not itchy. I am however starting to put on the pounds, 145 lb this week! :( And I'm sure the numbers will continue to climb! Dr. Firth says he is ok with me getting into the 150's! Easier for him to say.I am alittle worried about this because I have never been over 125. Guess that will be my motivation to get back into shape quickly after the baby is here! 

26 & 27 WEEKS

Baby is 27 WEEKS and weighs 2 whole pounds! Baby has been really active this week! Little stinker doesn't like anything resting on my belly at all! Even if I have my had resting on it, he will kick at it.  I finally broke down and bought a belly support band which has helped with my back pain major. The baby doesn't like it. He kicks at the band all day long. I still have  back aches at night though but nothing even close to what they were. I also got some maternity jeans! :( Actually they feel a ton better and are way more comfortable! I'm wearing them in this pic, they are actually pretty cute. Jerel started school this week, full time school + full time work = not very much time spent with me! I'm still working full time which now that I have the back support isn't so bad. Long hours on my feet though. The plan is the work all the way until I go into labor. We will see!

Baby is 26 WEEKS! January 4th was our 1st anniversary! We went to breakfast at Village Inn for breakfast which is one of our fav places to eat. Then we went to a movie and pretty much just relaxed the rest of the day! We also bought a car seat and matching stroller!

25 Weeks

Our little guy is 25 WEEKS and the size of an EGGPLANT! About 13.6-14.8, 1.5-2.2 lbs. from week  25-28. Our 25 week check up went well. I was 25 weeks and 25 inches, kinda funny how that worked out. When  Dr. Firth checked baby's  heart beat, he kicked at him which was funny. Baby is more active all the time, I can poke my tummy in one spot and he will kick and then poke in another spot and he will kick there too. Jerel and I went on a short motorcycle ride and boy did that scare baby. He was kicking like crazy! How am I feeling? Not too bad, I can eat almost anything with the exception of hotdogs. I doubt I will ever eat them again. I have heart burn here and there the worse is the back pains.
