One Year Old

My little monster is ONE! I can hardly believe it. Time has gone so fast, it feels like it was just yesterday they were handing me this tiny bundled up baby.

 What we have been up to this past month.
Size diaper: 4
Clothes: 18-24months
Shoes: 4- thats cause his feet are so chubby
Favorite food: vanilla yogurt, peaches, bananas, cottage cheese, spaghetti, carrots, bread and toast, and as of today: cold milk- cows milk!!! 
Is he walking? Kinda, sorta! He can stand for 3-4 mins without help or falling and he has taken 5-8 steps by himself without falling. Crawling is just so much faster! It will come but for now we are happy.
His new word he says is light. He points to every light he sees, the car light when we put him in his carseat, and every light in the house. If you ask him where the light is he will stop what he is doing and point at it. I didn't realize thats what he was saying until just tonight, when I was putting him in his carseat, he points to the light above us and says light. so darn cute!
Aiden has found the joys of unrolling the toilet paper. The little stinker! 

He got an ear infection this last month and the antibiotics didn't agree with his little bum so get got several baths in the sink.

 He likes to look under the bathroom door when mommy or daddy is in there. 

Pretty dang funny.

He has learned how to scowl.

 He has been teething a lot lately I think because he is always chewing on his hands. What a happy little monster.

He cracks me up. 

 This is how we grocery shop. He will sometimes sit in the front but he would much rather see where we are going. 

One day he was playing in the other room and I had noticed it had gotten really quite. I went to go see where he was. After searching the the entire house this is where I found him. He sure does love his baths. 

Doesn't he look so big! I put him on the scooter with me and he held on so good. It was pretty funny.

  Then daddy took him for a ride. 

He also liked Grandma Nielsen's little tyke car. 

He loves to empty drawers! :)

              The Easter Bunny Came!!! He brought Aiden a dump truck full of eggs, Tonka trucks and bath toys.

     For Easter we colored eggs at my moms house and rolled eggs down old main.

We did a combined party for Aiden and Hunter so all the Achatz fam could come. Aiden really liked when we sung to him. 

He thought it tasted pretty good. 

 But didn't like the cake on his hands so much.

Aiden got a surprise early birthday gift from G&G Nielsen. Aiden was so excited he could hardly wait for daddy to put it  together!!!

On Aiden's birthday we had family over at the Nielsen's for dinner and cake.

11 months

11 Months Old!!!

 Aiden is 11 months old! I can hardly believe I have an 11 month old! It just seems like yesterday that we brought him home. I have to admit, I am a little sad that he is turning one. I love that he is learning new things, don’t get me wrong but a little bit of my heart hurts.
This last month feels like it just flew by! This is what we have been up to!

He is still in the same size diaper, 4 and same size clothes, size 12-18 but i prefer 18mos.

Look who's standing! Its crazy how fast things happen. He went from only being able to stand for a few wobbly seconds to being able to stand pretty stable unassisted for 20 + seconds. He had to learn how to use his toes. We are working on his balancing skills. He is getting better and better at it every day. He likes to play the “lets see how long I can stand by my self” game. 

He is a little turkey! He had just woken up from a nap. Look at the scare hair! 

He got a hair cut from Aunt Alisha!

Feb 19th he surprised me and took his first step and lucky I was recording. He is getting better at walking while holding our hands. Sometimes he thinks he is a big boy and wont let me hold his hands cause he wants to do it himself. 

My little Valentine! For V-day we went to lunch with Grandma & Grandpa Nielsen and Grandpa Eldon while Jerel was home for lunch. Jerel had to work late so Aiden and I spent the day with Grandma Achatz. We decided to celebrate sat by going to breakfast at Village Inn. 

Grandma Nielsen gave him this cute little outfit.

 Eats- table food and loves it. We started using a baby food grinder and I love it! He likes: peaches, bananas and apple sauce all mixed together. Loves yogurt. It is so nice to be able to feed him what we are having for dinner because baby food can get pretty pricey. Daddy likes to give him treats just to get a reaction like sour patch kids.

He has gotten really good playing copy cat with words as well as actions patty cake, wave bye bye, makes noises with his tongue, making Indian noises, dances, and raising his arms for so big. Its so fun that he does things just by us telling him to. Words he can say- Dadda, Mama, dog, bye, ball and no. Today he started to copy the fisher price animal app by saying the names of the animal and sound. Pretty cute.

I clap my hands every time he tries to take steps so now he does too. 

He also learns by watching his big cousin Jaxon- jumping on Grandma Nielsen's couch with no cushions. Cousin kisses! 

 Some times mommy and daddy lets Aiden sleep in their  bed. He is a bed hog just like mommy.

Wonder why he doesn't get to very often.

Aiden also loves to play peek a boo and hide n'seek. He thinks its funny  when we get down on the floor and play with him. My favorite is when we get down into a crawling position he will charge at us. Cant believe how fast he can crawl. He has just recently started to hid from us. 

He likes when we stack things so he can knock it down.

Loves balls especially the red on he got for Christmas. He will chase it all around our apt.

Lately he has been getting a little crazy! :)

Introducing:
Emma Isabella Grace Clark 
 My sister had her baby girl Feb 27th. She was 7lbs 7oz, 20.5" 

 Aiden and I drove down with my mom to meet baby Clark. 

I think he liked playing in the curtains a little more than seeing the baby. 

Aiden loves visiting his little cousin Jaxon. He is learning to crawl and is soon gonna be a trouble maker just like Aiden. Watch out Aunt Alisha!

Loves his baths! When ever I turn water on to fill the tub he comes right into the bathroom.

10 months old!

 Aiden is 10 months old! I can hardly believe it! 2 months away from being 1 year old! Holy crap! Where has time gone?
He is still wearing 12-24 mons clothes with most 24 mos being a little big on him but its still cute.
Diaper- size 4

Things our little monkey has been doing this past month:
New words: He likes grandma Achatz dogs so much he now can say dog. He can also say Jerel but it sounds more like terel. Pretty sure he is just a good copy cat. 
He loves to play with dryer door. If I let him he will sit and open and shut it over and over. When I am doing the laundry, he will stand by the dryer and pull the wet clothes out while I put them in. He also puts his mouth on the dryer while it is on cause it vibrates.

This month he has gotten 100x more mobile. He likes to play the piano at both grandma's houses. He can now climb up to the piano by himself. I think its pretty cute. He can now pull up onto almost anything even the walls and will walk holding onto things. 

He can also reach the window and blinds.....

And the door knobs in our apartment, 

New things he has eaten this month: spaghetti, pasta, and most all of the gerber dinners. We have started giving him table food and likes the frozen veggie bags that have carrots and beans. Yes I said beans! He finally will eat them and doesn't seem to mind them. I have a feeling that he likes real food so much that the gerber meals arent going to fly for much longer.

Gotta keep an eye on this little guy- he found the flour bucket at grandma Achatz house, little turkey. He is always getting into everything. He likes drawers and cupboards, pretty much anything that opens and shuts. I have to be careful with what I keep at his reach level. And so does both grandmas because when Aiden is visiting anything is game!

He thinks he has to drink out of mommy's water bottle. He will drink from his sippy cup just fine but why not share with mommy? He also thinks he has to have tastes of whatever I am drinking. 

I think he has the cutest curly tongue ever! He has figured out how to make noises with his tongue.  He likes the flash on my phone camera. Pretty cute that he gives me a cheeser every time I pull it out. 

Every time!

He loves to read his books. I have pretty much all his books memorized by heart.

 

Loves his daddy! 

He loves to climb under daddy's desk while he studies and likes to watch him. 

 He like his toy basket. 

Planking!!!! 

Why play with the toys that go in the basket when you can play with the basket? We do we buy this kid toys?

Grandma Achatz only has one walker-Its a pretty snug fit but they didnt mind. Aiden also likes to push Jaxon around in it. 

  Aiden can stand by himself for 10 or so sec and could prob stand for longer but he realizes that I am not holding him he sits down. He can crawl pretty fast so why walk when you can  get there so much faster crawling. Walking isnt too far off cause I catch him being a dare devil and letting go of things he is holding onto while standing. Guess we should enjoy his jumeroo while we can...
He can go up the stairs by himself and is learning to go down them. We only practice at grandmas house cause we luckily dont have any.
