14 Months

14 months!!! Time seems to be going by so quickly! My baby is turning into a little boy more and more so every day! He is growing up! Crazy how that happens! Today is also my Grandpa Page's 78th birthday! He is such a strong man  and even more so watching him battle against leukemia. It is also their 59th anniversary! Happy Birthday Grandpa and a Happy Anniversary to them both! - 57 years! What an amazing accomplishment! 

Size diapers: 5- yep I moved him up a size they are big on him but bigger is better and he doesn't leak.
Clothes: 2T & 3T shirts- they are big on him but  I figure they will last longer and big is cute on boys.
Shoe size: 4- his feet are so chubby shoes are hard to come by.
Weight-:25lbs? Not too sure. He his getting much to tall for a rear facing carseat so we will prob be switching it to forward facing which I am sure he will love. Yes I am aware that it is recommended to have children rear facing until at least 2 years. Well Aiden is MUCH bigger than the average 1 year old.
Fav food: Pasta, rice, yogurt/gogurts, Gerber toddler graduates, puffs, green beans, corn, carrots, bananas with a fork, ice cream, sips of Gatorade- he would drink the whole thing if I let him but I doubt it is go for him.
Number of teeth: 9-his first molar (bottom left side) has almost finished coming. Man they are horrible and look so painful. His top molars and bottom right are very swollen.
High lights: He is done nursing! Sweet!!!! Freedom!!!! He will still nurse if I give him the option but he loves cows milk which is so nice.

He is really good at walking running!!! Wow that happened fast! He just learned to stand up in the middle of the room less than 4 weeks ago! Like I said, my baby isn't a baby any more- he is a toddler! A big boy! If you ask him- "Are you a big boy?" he nods. Little stinker! 

He loves music! When ever he hears it he nods his head, shrugs his shoulders and shakes his bum and sometimes he gets really into it and waves his arms in the air.

He is really good at giving kisses. If Jerel asks him for a kiss he gives him a big wet, slobbery kiss and then comes to give me one. He will go back and for between us giving us kisses.

He is really good at waving bye bye or just waving.

  I told him to sit down- good enough!

He has started to do summersaults. Sometimes he can do one all by himself but most of the time he will look between his legs and wait for me to roll him over.

He has been really good with naps and bed time. For nap time we will cuddle on the couch and watch the beginning of a disney movie while I tickle his arms and legs. That will calm him enough so I can lay him down and he goes right to sleep. Sometimes I can just lay him in his pack'n play with the little fan we bought on and he will go right to sleep. I can usually to the same things for bed time. He is really good at letting me brush his teeth. I tell him, "lets go brush your teeth" and he walks right to the bath room and we brush.

 "Come on mom! No more pics!" Isn't his new shoes cute! :)

  This is how he insists on riding in the cart at the store- that is if we are lucky enough that he is willing to ride in the cart. Lately he has to be a big boy and walk around the store. He also won't hold my hand any more and gets mad if I try. :( Independence? Here already? 

 He loves to play airplane.

He also loves to play horsey. 

  Love this picture! He loves the park and is sad when it is time to go. He Likes to walk all over the park. He loves seeing all of the dogs.

  His first chocolate ice cream which he stole from me. :)

   What have I done? He loved it!

  He has been a little monkey! He got onto the chair and then I found him on the table.

 We have been working on eyes, ears, mouth, & nose. He surprises me every day with how much he does actually know. He will go get things when we ask him to without us pointing- if we ask him where his ball is he will stop what he is doing to go find it. He will also go get his- book, binky, and cars. I have been working with him to pick up his toys at the end of the day. He likes this game and claps every time he puts a toy in the basket. 

  There is a swimming pool at our apt. Aiden loved it. It was a big bath tub for him. First time in a pool! Second time ever going swimming.

 He wasn't so sure about the hot tub.

 We got to go to the Albuquerque Biopark Zoo. It was a lot of fun to see all of the animals.

  One of the strangest birds I have ever seen.

 Here is another strange bird. Jerel told me that a kid in front of us put his fingers in the fence and this birdie got a little  taste.

  There was a bunch of gross snakes and lizards . So I took a pic of the wall. HATE snakes!

  The giraffe was right up by us and decided to walk away right when I got my phone out to take a pic.

  Hippo. We were sad that he had gone in for the day so we really didn't get to see him.

  The gorillas were pretty fun and stinky- We could smell them way before we even saw them. This gorilla would clap his hands so then Aiden would start clapping.

Flamingos! They are such strange birds and boy were they stinky.

 We got to the zoo a little on the late side so we we didn't get to see a few of the animals because they had gone in. The polar bears had gone in already by the time we got around to seeing them.

 Not sure why but he likes to wear his daddy's socks. He will bring them to Jerel and lift his chubby little feet up so daddy can put them on. He then will wear them until we take them off.

 Lately Aiden has been waking up between 530am-7am which is too early!!! So he gets to come snuggle with mommy and daddy. He is just like mommy- a bed hog!

 First time he has fallen asleep on the floor since he was a new born. Yep nothing like falling asleep with your hand in the cookie jar!- in this case the treat cup. I carefully took his hand out of the cup, he spit his binky out and his hand put a treat in his mouth. Pretty funny. I had to try not to laugh so I wouldn't wake him. Don't you love his outfit? Yep that was all Jerel!- just saying!

 He is a good little copy cat! He loves playing with daddy! Lately we have been playing hide and go seek where we hide and he finds us. We scare him and he laughs!

We say cheese and he does this! Pulls a cheeser!!! Love it!

Life in Albuquerque

We decided to break our drive to Albuquerque into two days for Aiden but really for me. Some cool stuff we saw along the way-

 We thought these windmills were pretty cool! They are so big!

 Aiden did so good. He played with his toys and slept most of the way. I was worried it would be a rough ride .

We got to Moab just after 9pm and stayed at Best Western . Loved the king sized bed! Thats for sure!

The little stinker could reach the door knob but luckily he couldn't open the door.

Right as we were getting ready to check out- Jerel changed Aiden's diaper and Aiden decided he would help. He ended up getting poop every where including on his face and hair. Yep into that bath he went. The best part was Jerel's reaction.

 There were a ton of these- random pillars of rock. Pretty cool!

We got to Albuquerque  late afternoon. We had planned to stay at this InTown extended suit hotel.

Looks pretty nice hu?! Wrong-o! The first room we looked at was very tiny and smelled strongly for smoke. Jerel said he thought I was going to cry. The second room wasn't much better- it smelled like smoke and cleaner. Nice right? Well the third room was bigger and was a heck of a lot cleaner and smelled 100% better! Actually you can see our room in the above pic- second for floor last room on the end.

Aiden learned quickly that he could open the door easily which was kinda a problem cause there was no stopping him from going into the bathroom. There was no lock on the door either- guess the hotel didn't expect you to need to lock the bathroom- there was 2 double beds= more than one person would stay here right? 

We ended up putting his pack n play in the front of the bathroom door. You can see how well the worked out. 

The  place didn't seem too bad at first... considering how gross the first two rooms were. By the end of the night we realized how dirty the carpets really were- Aiden's knees and hands were black from crawling around. The drain in the shower was... nice and hairy. And when we climbed into our bed, the sheets were old and had that gross "bally" feeling to them. The next morning when I was making the bed, I noticed all the nice stains on the sheets. Awesome hu?! There was burn holes  from a cigarette in the comforter. The last straw for Jerel was that the place claimed to have high speed internet- it was far from that.

Being silly Aiden bo Baiden.

 He is def a dare devil. Once he figured out how to stand up in the middle of the room he thought hey why not try it on my bike.

There wasn't any grassy area for Aiden to play so next best thing- Pets Smart! Its like a tiny zoo right? Well he liked it.

We decided we couldn't handle staying at the InTown suit so we tried to find an apt that was furnished and had a short term lease. Yeah right! So we  decided to furnish an apt camping style! :)

Welcome home! :)

We are on the second floor which has a balcony, washer & dryer, a tub for Aiden, dishwasher, fire place, and oven all of which the last place didn't have.

Jerel blowing up our air mattress. It took a few nights to get used to it and is much better knowing that the sheets are clean! Aiden loves it. He will run over and dive bomb onto the bed.

We also found an air sofa! :) And it is comfy! It also folds out into a bed. It is low enough that Aiden can climb on and off it by himself. We also got two camp chairs and a folding table.

Feeling more at home.

Aiden learned to stand up by himself. He actually did it for the first time back at the gross hotel, totally taking us by surprise. Its crazy how fast they can do things once they figure out how. Ever since he has been walking up a storm and now I hardly ever see him crawl. He is really funny, he will walk around in circles or from one end for the apt to the other while waving his hands around.

The trees are so strange here! There are a bunch like this by our apt. 

Notice the pipes- ha. It also had bright purple rims to go with it. The drivers here are just as crazy. The are very impatient as well. People say that Utah drivers are bad, they obviously haven't seen New Mexico drivers. Also a funny thing that happened- Jerel was filling up the car and once it got to 30 bucks it stopped pumping.

Mothers Day Jerel & Aiden both had bad colds so we stayed home from church. Instead we had a family day at the park. Nice that its just across the street from our apt.

He loves the swing.

Albuquerque isn't home thats for sure but it is nice. The weather has been really nice and warm with blue skies. 

He also loves sticks!

To add to Aiden having a cold he also is getting his molars. Yah!

Aiden loves his walks. He gets really quite.
