30 months for Aiden

 Aiden at 30 months. Sounds funny, I know- he is 2-1/2 but I still loved doing monthly updates. I'm not sure for how long I will do them but I feel like if I do a monthly update on Jade then I should do one for Aiden. I know I take 2x the amount of pic of Jade than I do Aiden. He may not be changing as fast as Jade is but he is growing up.

 Things about my Aiden boy. 

• Weight: 35 lbs
• Height: 38-1/2"
• Clothes: 4-5T
• Fav Food: Corn dogs & hot dogs, Cheese burgers, Fries, Pizza, Chips, Teddy grams, Candy period, Frosty & Ice cream, Cheese, PB&J, Fruit Snacks.
• Favorite movies: Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Captain America- he has only watched it twice but loved it, watched the whole thing, Curious George, Frozen, Wreck it Ralph, & Toy Story.
• Favorite Toys: He loves playing with his train, airplanes, sticks, & blowing bubbles.
• He can now sing the ABC song pretty well. He will some times skip a letter every now and then but does a pretty good job and remembering them and singing them in order. He even tries to sing the end of the ABC song which I love: "Now I know my ABC's next time won't you sing with me." He knows most of their sounds which really impressed me.
• He is constantly counting things and is getting better at counting and saying the numbers from 11-20. He gets stuck at 15.
• He loves sticks and I mean LOVES them. Every time we go for a walk he has to find one. I have been trying to take the kids in the double jogger around the block every day or so. It takes about 30 mins.

  He loves smoothies but they are messing and this little boy hates getting messy. He started freaking out cause it was all over his hands & face from drinking it so I gave him the straw to my water bottle. Is it normal for a TWO year old BOY to HATE to be messy?

  "I see you!" He will randomly say things like this. He doesn't talk very often but when he does he say little phrases. Some of the other things he says: "It's too bright!" & "Can't reach!"

  Because spying on the neighbors is fun.

  Studying with Daddy. He kept point out letters.

 He is Jerel's little boy, thats for sure. I'm sure Aiden probably looks like a boy version of me some what too. Fun, fun.

  ABC sounds. Getting pretty good. The next day he could tell me the ones he didn't know.

  Cause having someone to play in a fort with is way funner than playing by yourself.

  I love my kids!

  New jammies. He picked these and some batman ones... Not sure why he like them...

  I pulled Jade's pack'n play out and I can't seem to keep Aiden out of it. The thing is- he can get in but can't get out... well not without hurting himself so he is in quite the pickle here. :)

  Silly Aiden- headbands are for girls! He randomly wanted to wear one like Jade.

 I guess it was Aiden's turn to look at Jade between his legs. She always does it.

  Aiden loves to help me. I asked him if he wanted to help me mix waffles. He got really excited.

Visit from Grandma & Grandpa Achatz

My parents came for a visit over the weekend. They were supposed to go to Las Vegas with friends but plans changed and they were able to come visit us in Alamogordo. 

They left Cache Valley after my Dad got off work Wed at 12:30am & arrived in Alamogordo just after 3pm.

 Aiden was so excited to see Grandma & Grandpa Achatz. I had been telling him all day they were coming to visit.

 When my parents first got here, my Dad scared Jade by sneaking up on her on accident. So the first night they stayed, she would cry every time he came over by her. 

 Good morning!

 When my parents go on their motorcycle trips, they will go to Harley Davidson shops so of course my Dad had to look to see if we had one near. The nearest one was in Las Cruces.

Jerel had to work Friday so we put the kids carseats in my parents car to drive to the Harley shop.

 Both kids ended up falling asleep. Yes, Aiden is in a pink carseat.... we were given it by a friend in the ward for Jade but Aiden actually fits in it better than he does in his. His carseat doesn't have a very high back so the straps are too low.

 After we went to a Wendy's. Aiden loved the frosty & Jade was a big girl sitting on the bench next to me.

 My Dad HATES when I take pic of him but really... how could I not? He pushed Aiden around in one of the boxes my sister Alisha sent clothes in. Jade by then was just fine and would smile and play with Grandpa. 

Very thankful for both of my sisters- Natalie sent me baby food that Emma didn't use which are all still good. I doubt I will have to buy Jade baby food... ever! Alisha sent boxes of clothes for both the kids. Love hand-me-downs!

We went up to Cloudcroft and seen the bridge & then up to the elementary to play on the playground. It was a little windy & cool.... Aiden decided not to tell us he needed to pee....

I didn't bring him extra shorts but did have undies for him.. so he ran around playing in just his t-shirt, undies and sandals. He didn't care. The other kids on the playground where like: "What the heck?!" Guess it wouldn't have matter if I had brought him a change of clothes cause he peed his undies right before we left.... Good thing I had more undies. He has been really good about not having accident but because it was windy and kinda cool? Who knows.

Later we went to White Sands to play.

We have never been and didn't know that if we drove a little further we would have been on more sandy hills and less weeds but Aiden could careless. We didn't want to waste any play time.

He took off down the hill and found himself some sticks.

Jade loved the sand too. She kept touching it, picking it up & throwing it. Apparently it tasted pretty good too cause he ate it.

The sun set pretty fast and the mosquitoes came out. I told Aiden we had to hurry and get in the car cause there were bugs bitting us. It did the trick and he got right in the car.

My mom was a sweet heart and bought me a little chocolate cake. Perfect size. I love you Mom! You sure do know how to make me feel good. So glad they were able to come visit us.
