1 day old!
4 day check up: 8.6lbs. He was a little trooper with his circumcision. I stayed with him comforting him & giving him sugar water & his binky. Super sad to listen to his sad cries but he really only cried out a few times, brave little boy.
Jade checking out Kasen in his carseat. Aiden & Jade were pretty happy to have Mommy & Daddy home from the hospital but they sure had fun playing with Grandma Neesey.

This is how we keep him safe in his swing... not so much for falling out but just in case some one tires to pick him up... that hasn't happened yet but we are prepared for the day if it does.

4 days old!!!
2 week check up: He was so good for me during this appointment just looking around. He weighed 10lbs @ 80 percentile & is 22" @ 93 percentile. The nurses could have eaten him up & loved his cute head of hair. His Dr was very happy to see him putting on weight and to see him be so calm, looking around. The best news of all, I got the green light to let him sleep up to 6hrs at night!!! Love my Kasen boy.
I forgot how much sleeping newborns do.
Thats ok the more snuggles i get!

Tired boys. Aiden loves his baby brother! I truly am amazed at how quickly he took on the roll of big a big brother to his little baby and how much he does love him. I love that he says Kasen is so cute all the time and say how much he loves him. I am also amazed that he wants to hold him all the time too.

Jade's first time holding Kasen. It only took her a week to actually want to & she loved it. She likes to give him pat pats and says awwww. She also likes to be a tease and stills his binky... & then give it to him when he doesn't need it & is sleeping.
It amazes me how much love you can have for such a little person and how quickly that love comes on.

Weight: 10lbs+ i bet he's about 12lbs...
Diaper size: 1- he wore NB for almost 3 weeks
Size clothes: Just depends on the brand and if they have been dryer dried. 0-3 He still fits in the outfit we brought him home in which is a 0-3 shrunk dryer dried outfit.
Sleep: 3-4hr stretches and sleeps a lot thought the day.
All about Kasen
He loves being swaddled, he calms right down the second he is swaddled & his face is next to yours. He has starting smiling at us when we talk to him. He loves his hair brushed & closes his eyes cause it just feels so good. He really likes when I wash his hair & doesn't mind baths as long as he stays warm. He likes his swing but loves to be held. He doesn't care that much for tummy time & rolls over every time we put him on his tummy. I love his little Billy goat noises he makes & his cute little cries when he is upset. His brother & sister sure do love him, our family is very blessed to have him. Love you Kasen baby.

He loves his swing. Just chills in it looking around. He has started to stare at the mirror that hangs above him. Haha so funny to watch him stare at it for 5mins or more.
So I honestly didn't take the time to find a photographer to take his newborns but I also didn't want to leave the house or pay.... So I took my own. I really only wanted one good pic that I could put on the wall so here they are. They didn't turn out too bad!... considering...

I don't know why i think yawns are so cute they just are. Like they are too big for them.
My Grandma Chalk, my Dad's Mom came to Utah to visit my parents. I haven't seen her in over 12 years. First time meeting Jerel and of course Aiden & Jade as well as Kasen. I was really surprised she wanted to hold him. She really enjoyed him.

Introducing the Nuk binkies. Yay! He actually really isn't a binky baby yet... Not sure if he will ever be one. He gags on them and does funny faces when i put it in his mouth. He takes it some times but spits it out or it falls out.
I fell asleep cuddling Kasen, his breathing puts me right to sleep. & I woke up cuddling two boys.

As you can tell he does the puckered lips face a lot and we love it.
Baby smiles. We were pretty lucky when it came to baby acne. This time around, I decided not to put lotion on him other than the day we got home from the hospital or bath him for a week. It really helped him. Of course I kept him clean and smelling good but man it helped his skin.
He spend a lot of time in his boppy. He seems to like it.
Jade knows that the Monkey is Kasen's so she makes sure he cuddles with it. Cute.

This is how I take my shower, with Kasen laying on his boppy. He was fussy this time so I called Aiden in. Aiden sang to him and sure enough he was a happy baby again.

Lets do some tummy time. 2nd time doing tummy time and he decided he didn't like it and rolled right over. I thought it just happened by chance and was surprised when he did it again and again and again. 8 times in a row. "Come on Mommy! I don't wanna be on my tummy, thats why i keep rolling over! Knock it off!"
Who wouldn't want to roll over when you have two cute cheer leaders cheering out on.. And almost sitting onto of you.

He looks concerned but he really was enjoying himself. I really like the Puj bath tub, it has little holes in it so that the water can constantly be running and keeping baby warm. He liked it as long as he stayed warm. He really liked it when it was time to wash his hair.
Oh baby smiles. He is starting to smile at us when he is awake and looking at ya but hey they could be baby farts..
Ok ok... enough pics for one month. We sure do love having this little blessing as a part of our family. So happy and grateful he could joy our little family. We love you to the moon and baby little boy.
