39 Weeks

How far along? 39 weeks
Current weight/ Total Weight gain:  156 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yep.
Stretch marks: A few.
Sleep: Fair. Really hurts to roll over in bed.
Best moment this week: 39 wk appt: I am dilated to a 3, he tried stretching me to a 4, 70% effaced, zero station, water bulging. I also have my membranes stripped. Heres to hoping she comes soon.
Miss Anything? Ready to not be pregnant!
Movement: I can definatly tell she has ran out of room to move yet she still manages to move enough to cause me some pain. Hope that doesn't mean she will be an 8 Lb baby.....
Food cravings or things you can eat: M&Ms... Pretty much everything that I shouldn't be eating. Pretty sure my body thinks it need to help the baby pack on the pounds.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Original Dove deodorant still doesn't smell good.
Symptoms: Ligament pain when I roll over in bed, I almost feel bruised sometimes.
Have you started to show yet: Yes this baby needs to vacate! I was however able to pain my toe nails fairly easy.
Belly Button In/Out? Out. Poor belly button.
Bloated: No.
Labor: Braxton Hicks and some mild cramping with an over all uncomfortable feeling so no painful contractions as of yet.
Wedding Ring on/off: On. It gets tighter when I am warm.
Gender? GIRL!!!
Name? Jade Emeline
Looking forward to: Holding our baby girl! I can hardly wait to see what she looks like. Will she be a mini Aiden or have a complete look of her own. I would be surprised if she didn't look like Aiden, because he is a good mix of both Jerel and I. Will she have a lot of hair or not- it would be pretty cruel if she didn't since Aiden had a bunch. Also I am a little worried for her birth weight.... Crossing my fingers she won't weigh as much as Aiden did... Betting she will be a little chunker though. I really really hope she is born before the weekend.

22 months!

Aiden's 22 month stats:
Diapers: Back to size 5 when I realized that they are not that much smaller than 6's plus thou get a lot more with 5's for the same price as 6's.

Clothes: 2T & 3T

Favorite food: Pizza, French toast, Chocolate chip pancakes, Hotdogs, Tomatoes, Strawberries, Cheese, Bread, Apple Juice, Oatmeal, Gummy Bears, Smarties, Dumdums. He seems to eat better when I give him finger foods rather than things he has to pick up with a fork. He used to like using a fork... must be a phase...

ABC's: My Dr. told me that parents now days aren't pushing their children to learn things earlier when they are fully capable of learning a lot more than we think. He told me to start working with him on counting, ABCs, colors, & shapes. He knows his shapes really well just doesn't say their names. I bought him a ABC puzzle which has upper case and lower case letters with a picture of a object representing each letter.  The first time I got it out for him to play with he couldn't do very many of them but only a few days later he can now do more then half of them. When he gets stuck and doesn't know the letter or can't find where it goes, I just ask him to find picture and he does.

Talking: He will copy what we ask. We try to make him ask for it before he gets things. Or ask him questions before giving him things. We have been working on getting him to say more than one word at a time. He now counts to 3 and says go which is cute. He has been come a daddy's boy and always calls for him or says his name. He is still really shy around people other than Jerel and I so he is pretty quite. He knows the sounds to the fallowing animals: Dog, Cat, Monkey, Elephant, Cow, Horse, Sheep, Bear, Lion & Pig. It gets cuter every time he does it.

Bed Time: He has been doing awesome with going to sleep when we put him in bed. He tells us "I lobe you!" & night night & then bye. He rolls over and goes to bed. Naps he will complain for little while or just play in his crib until he gets bored enough to fall asleep.

Fav movies/shows: Despicable Me & Super Why. We have actually limited his tv time which has made him a better toddler I think. I let him watch maybe an episode a day or every other day. We read a lot of books instead.
Helping Mama get baby Jade's basinet ready.
He must of been pretty tired to fall asleep in his high chair.

He likes to play on the computer at Grandma Achatz's house. After watching Jerel he knows exactly what to do.

He likes to pull my shirt up to see my tummy ball. If I ask him where baby Jade is he will point to my tummy. Sometimes when asked he will also point to his Daddy's tummy too. HAHA
He likes to cross his leg. We think its pretty funny.
Testing out little sister's carseat. It must be pretty comfy.
The best part was the box the carseat came in.

The little stinker likes to climb up onto the window...
This is apparently the best way to eat treats during sacrament.

WARNING: POTTY TIME TALK!!!!

We started potty training. We were pretty excited when he actually went. He was so proud of himself.

He will randomly ask to sit on the potty and will go. We aren't pushing potty training yet since he can't pull his pants down by himself but if he asks why not. He loves the gummy bears he gets.
He also gets really upset when he pees/poops in his diaper.
He has worn underwear once and stayed dry for 4 hours! :)
I didn't think this was all that funny but he sure did. Yuck! Yogurt was every where.
Cold walk with Daddy to school. He was nice and toasty though and tired.
I made a hat for both Aiden and Jade.

I think they turned out pretty cute. He loves it and we get lots of complements when we go places.
 Crossing that cute little leg.
One of his favorite toys at Grandma Achatz's house. He looks through them backwards though to see better... :)
 Cutie.
 Loving his hot dogs.
He loves to watch the snow fall outside.
Cutest little puppy enjoying playing out in the cold.

A few crafts here and there I have done to keep me busy.

I love how it turned out. Janese helped me embroider the owl & saying.
I also made a blanket that I still need to bind.... and my mom gave me some cute flannel flower with chevron material to make a blanket.

38 weeks

How far along? 38 weeks
Current weight/ Total Weight gain: 154 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yep.
Stretch marks: A few.
Sleep: Fair. Really hurts to roll over in bed.
Best moment this week: 38wk dr appt. Baby heart sounds good. I am dilated to a 2 and measuring at 36cm. My cervix is "mush" or really soft but is still nice and long. Dr. Firth says 3 out of the 4 things have happened so time will tell. She really could come any time. He says he would like to see me go two more weeks.
Miss Anything? Just wanting my body back!
Movement: She has been pretty active this last week with me bouncing on my exercise ball.
Food cravings or things you can eat: Sour worms, White chocolate covered pretzels, M&Ms
Anything making you queasy or sick: Original Dove deodorant still doesn't smell good.
Symptoms: Ligament pain when I roll over in bed.  If I sit or lay for too long and try to get up, everything is so tight I have a hard time moving for a minute. Sore tailbone & sore back seem to be helped by sitting on my exercise ball. I have had some Braxton Hicks but they are becoming less noticeable- my Dr. says thats probably due to using my ball and I am stronger.
Have you started to show yet: Yep! I actually am not feeling that big either even though I look big.
Belly Button In/Out? Out. Poor belly button.
Bloated: No.
Labor: I am starting to have stronger, cramping going on. Hoping those little contraction are helping things move along.
Wedding Ring on/off: On.
Gender? GIRL!!!
Name? Jade Emeline
Looking forward to: 39 week appointment. Just trying to keep busy until then. I did finish Jade's Owl quilt finally!!!! I did it all by myself too.
Its not perfect but it sure is made with love!!!

In Loving Memory

My heart aches over the loss of my Aunt Connie. Taken too soon, at such a young age and without warning. Such a caring and selfless person. I sit here still trying to grasp the knowledge that she is actually gone. I am sad to know I will never hear her tell people that I am the niece who got her skinny, minnie body or I am the niece most like her. How sad to know I will never see her smile and laugh.  I am so grateful families can be together forever and what a sweet comfort that knowledge brings. Even though we don't always understand the reasoning as to why things happen,  I know our loving Heavenly Father has a plan for each and everyone of us. "How important it is to remember to cherish every moment, love without regret, and make time for what is truly important. Life is a beautiful thing and not to be wasted. Connie knew that and lived it everyday. Our lives truly are touched and better for knowing her." -FB
I pray for the much needed strength & comfort for my grandparents, cousins, my mom & to all those who are grieving for the loss of such a special person. How heartbreaking it is to see the pain in their eyes. She was loved by so many people and it was shown by how many people came to the hospital yesterday. I am so grateful I was able to gather with family around her bedside to say goodbye. As my husband and I prepare to welcome this new baby into our lives, I look forward to the much needed joy she will bring my family during this hard time. Until we meet again my sweet Aunt Connie, I love you.

37 Weeks

How far along? 37 weeks
Current weight/ Total Weight gain: 153 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yep.
Stretch marks: A few.
Sleep: Have actually been sleeping fairly decent, minus waking up several times to pee. I do get stuffy at night which makes it hard to breathe.
Best moment this week: 37wk dr appt. Baby heart sounds good. I am dilated to a 1 and measuring at 35cm. Dr. Firth says I am measuring smaller than I was with Aiden. I don't know if he plans to induce me but if my body is ready he might strip my membranes at 39 weeks.
Miss Anything? Nothing really. I don't have too many complaints: I'm 37 weeks pregnant and baby is full term & could come any time now. I think I have been feeling good because I have been exercising every other day for the last 2-3wks. Just playing the waiting game. One way of looking at it is I only have a few more weeks of being pregnant vs 37 weeks but at the same time..... I am tired of being pregnant!
Movement: She moves mostly at night and gets the hiccups a lot during the night but recently I have been sitting on my yoga ball which has made her really active.
Food cravings or things you can eat: Sour worms, Strawberries, Apples. I have been eating dates since 36wks. They weren't great at first & are now a lot easier to eat after a workout.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Original Dove deodorant still doesn't smell good.
Symptoms: Ligament pain when I roll over in bed.  If I sit or lay for too long and try to get up, everything is so tight I have a hard time moving for a minute.  Heart burn started up again but I just switched pills so hopefully that helps. Sore legs if I stand for too long. Sore tailbone. My back seems to be doing much better lately- the yoga ball has helped both my tailbone and back.
Have you started to show yet: Yep! I actually am not feeling that big either even though I look big.
Belly Button In/Out? Out. Poor belly button.
Bloated: Not really.
Labor: Nope
Wedding Ring on/off: On.
Gender? GIRL!!!
Name? Jade Emeline
Looking forward to: 38 week appointment. Just trying to keep busy until then.

When I found this owl material I really liked it plus the chevrons. I also made a blanket and had Janese put her name on it- but I still need to bind it....
"Owl always love you!" Jerel's mom embroidered her name and the cute owl which was copied from the material.
