Jade's 1st month!

Hard to believe how fast time goes once baby is here and your not waiting around feeling like you will be pregnant forever!

Things about our little Jade

3days: 7.11 lbs- 51% & 19.75in- 56% length, head: 38%

2 week check up stats: 9.11lbs- 87% weight & 20.5in- 54% length with her head: 60%

Weight: @ 1 month : Guessing 10lbs+

Diaper size: 1- she wore NB for 2wks

Size clothes: Just depends on the clothes really. 3-6

Sleep: She usually sleeps 3-4hr stretches at night and random throughout the day.

Things we love: She is a noisy little thing with all of her grunting & baby snores. She grunts when you move her while she sleeps. She sleeps best when she is all wrapped up. Jerel says "those pesky little hands." cause she doesn't have control over them so they touch her face which keeps her up. She isn't much of a cryer but she does fuss more than I remember Aiden. I thought we were extremely spoiled for Aiden being such a good baby and toddler now. Turns out we have been just as blessed with Jade being an extremely calm, mellow baby as well. I haven't decided if she is a binky baby yet. She has a hard time keeping it in and sometimes she can't find it even when it is in her mouth. The little stinker likes to pee but especially poop when her diaper is off which makes changing diaper duty tricky.

I took Jade to get her NB done. She is only 4 days old. Surprisingly, she looks really calm and happy but she was actually the opposite for most of the pic. I would nurse her and get her to sleep then the photographer would reposition her which she didn't like- remember how I said she doesn't like being moved? She was very sensitive to touch. The photographer said that usually she would have problems with babies waking up because of sounds not touch. Jade would sleep straight through her moving stuff but as soon as she touched her she would cry.

For these pictures where I am holding her she decided to pee all down leg. I was really glad it was just pee.. She kept eating my face every time I pulled her in. :)

I am so glad we got them done. She has already changed so much.

Tummy time. She likes tummy time on my chest or laying across my legs but the only way she is happy on a blanket is with her binky.

She loves my wrap. I love how she bobs her cute little head trying to look around. It doesn't last long before she is fast asleep.

Anything to be close to Mama. She loves to cuddle.

Sunday, March 16th we blessed our little Jade.

The dress:

My mom made Jade's beautiful dress & Janese embroidered flowers that were also on my wedding dress. I thought it would be fun and some what sentimental. In a way her dress is a mini version of my wedding dress.

I made her head band as well as the rosettes on her dress. I added beads to the puckers. She was extremely hard to hold cause she was all silky and slippery.
